Synopsis

The third season of Lies begins with the discovery of a charred corpse—that of lawyer Martin Champagne, the second victim of Maxime Moreli. This marks the start of an intense investigation, with Julie more determined than ever to uncover the truth.

With the Homicide Squad left without a leader after Phil Walker’s arrest, the State Major appoints a star investigator from the Narcotics Squad to replace him. Pat Fortin, the new interim director, is an expert in sting operations, frame-ups, and bluffing. His arrival shakes up the professional dynamic of Julie, Maxime, and Bob as he attempts to impose the controversial methods that made him famous in Narcotics onto Homicide cases.

Meanwhile, Julie—now separated from Vincent and pregnant with Maxime’s child—finally decides to embrace the love story she has long suppressed. However, their honeymoon phase is cut short by the ongoing investigation into the murders of MacCoy and Champagne. Pat Fortin suspects Maxime’s involvement in the case, but Julie refuses to believe it.

In the end, season three proves to be particularly challenging for the Moreli family. Carla faces her own struggles as her rival, Cindy—now the assistant to the new squad leader—once again tries to eliminate her and win back Bob. But this time, Cindy takes things further, attempting to frame Carla for murder.
