Synopsis

The second season of Lies begins as Julie Beauchemin starts investigating the murder of Eugène Foucault, also known as "Monsieur Bonbon." While digging into the dark depths of this sinister case, she uncovers shocking truths about Maxime’s past and a vast pedophile network protected by political influence.

Alongside this intricate investigation, which unfolds over ten episodes, Julie’s professional environment is thrown into turmoil. Marcel Levesque, newly promoted to the State Major, is replaced by Phil Walker as head of the Homicide Squad. A strong advocate for field investigations, Walker tries to impose his methods on Julie, who stubbornly refuses to leave her interrogation room to visit crime scenes.

Already overwhelmed by these challenges at work, Julie must also navigate her tense relationship with Vincent and face difficult romantic choices.

Meanwhile, Maxime remains obsessed with tracking down his brother’s killer and will stop at nothing to exact his revenge. His sister, Carla, hopes to turn her life around and invest in her new relationship with Bob, but Cindy, equally drawn to the charismatic seducer, proves to be a dangerous rival.
