Sainte-Adèle is in mortal danger. A deadly smallpox epidemic is sweeping through the village. Séraphin, now Deputy Minister of Colonization, and Donalda rush back from Quebec City as the death toll rises… Séraphin must manage this crisis to save the Laurentians. Vaccines are on their way from Montreal, but will they arrive in time?
