Synopsis

Six months have passed. While Donalda is weakened by a harsh trial, Séraphin, having regained his strength and thirst for power, is still haunted by Bidou's shocking revelation. He immediately embarks on a ruthless war full of cunning and violence to destroy his lifelong rival: Alexis. Even Curé Labelle, back from Rome with the impressive title of protonotary of the papacy, realizes that he must become a bishop if he wants to oppose Séraphin's insatiable ambition. With the support of Arthur Buies, he attempts to secure his diocese, but the plots of Mgr. Fabre to thwart him are numerous and always unpredictable. While the entire North boils with a desire for emancipation, the many characters of True North each persevere in their own way in the great adventure of colonization.
