Synopsis
The Québec of the 1970s is rocked by an unprecedented wave of bank robberies, kidnappings, and hostage situations. Ill-prepared, the police often have no choice but to rely on intermediaries to defuse crises. MAC CLOUTIER is one of them—neither cop nor criminal, a tightrope walker on the thin line between right and wrong. This series tells his story. A one-of-a-kind crime reporter, MAC earns, at the risk of his life, the respect of a prison escapee who seeks his help to expose the inhumane conditions at Montélimar Correctional Center. Though the case ends in tragedy, MAC gains the trust of the criminal underworld. Now, he has no choice but to embrace his demanding fate, one that leaves no room for love or a personal life. Inspired by the life of Claude Poirier, this series remains a work of fiction.
