Synopsis
Marc-André has stepped away from the system, embracing a minimalist lifestyle. He insists it’s by choice. Meanwhile, his friends, François, Evelyne, and Patrick, are all thriving in high-powered finance careers at Olstrom, except for Vincent, who took refuge in a steady 9-to-5 government job after burning out. For his birthday, François offers him a chance to return to the world of investment banking, but at the bottom of the ladder, a way to start over. Evelyne, a leading figure in finance, François’ partner, and Marc-André’s best friend since university, urges him to accept, reminding him that he’s wasting his potential. On maternity leave for the past five months, she too feels the mounting pressure to return to work, afraid of losing her place, eager to make the most of her education and experience. Will Marc-André take the offer? Will he go back to the world he walked away from four years ago, vowing never to return? A world where he once thrived, but that ultimately broke him?
